First Visitors

It was so much fun watching our family meet Caroline Cate for the first time! We are blessed that they traveled so far to come and see her. Special memories.

The sweetest visitor we had was my niece, Anna Scott. She had been waiting to meet her baby cousin for so long and her reaction to meeting her was priceless. She was so sweet with her and loved her so much. She gave kiss after kiss and told her how much she loved her constantly. When it was time for her to leave she asked so seriously "Will she stay this little until I come back to see her?" I  cannot wait for these two girls to be best of friends!
She brought Caroline Cate the teddy bear that Mary Catherine brought me when she came to see me in the hospital.
Waiting to hold her for the first time

Hospital Stay

We had the sweetest first days with Caroline Cate in the hospital following her birth.  We celebrated her birthday with birthday cake and sang Happy Birthday to her. Interesting fact, the song Happy Birthday first appeared in print on March 4, 1924! It was the sweetest moment. She slept most the time and fed really well from the very beginning.  I hated each time the nurses had to take her to the nursery for assessments and it was like Christmas morning every time they brought her back to me. We just sat and stared at her all day long....and took pictures :)
