As soon as we got the ok from our pediatrician to get out of the house we hit the road for our first stroll! We have the perfect neighborhood and area for walking with sidewalks extending for miles around our house. I foresee many walks with my girl in our future. She slept most of the time and when she woke up she seemed very content. I just love my sweet little family!

What's Up Doc?! 2 Week Check-Up
On Thursday, 3/19/15, Caroline Cate had her first doctors visit. She did extremely well and thankfully didn't have to get any shots! She is perfectly healthy and growing oh so fast. She has gained a whole pound since birth! She is quickly earning the nickname "Piggy" but we aren't complaining! We were cleared to take her out to eat, on walks, etc with the understanding to leave her in her car seat and not let everyone touch and hold her in public. So after the doctor appt we treated ourselves to lunch. She slept the entire time! It was so nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air. It's the little things:)
20 1/4" long
7 lbs!
So thankful for a happy and healthy baby! We will go back at 2 months and I hear that there are shots involved with that visit. Mommy may need to be pre-medicated for that one!

Second Week
Week number two is coming to a close and I can't believe how quickly these past two weeks have come and gone. Caroline Cate is still sleeping in 3-4 hour intervals and eating around 4 oz of breastmilk each feeding. She is becoming more alert during the day feedings and loves looking around. She is quite the "grunter" and you never have to guess if she has messed in her diaper :) We will need to work on her manners and learn how to become a proper little lady. Ha. She still loves her bouncy swing and her little lamb rocker. Music and any bouncy seat that vibrates will put her right to sleep. She is already obsessed with her paci (yikes) and she loves to lay on my chest. At night I have to set my alarm clock to wake her up and feed her and then she drifts right back to sleep for another good 3-4 hours after we feed. Praise Jesus! I keep hesitating to say it because I don't want to jinx it but she is such a good baby thus far. I am so grateful. The first two weeks are hard enough as it is just figuring everything out and throwing a fussy baby in the mix would be very challenging. Kudos to you moms out there that are going through that....you deserve a hug and a good nights sleep! Here are a few photos taken during our second week at home with our girl!
This gown was mine and my sister's when we were babies. Anna Scott wore it when she was two weeks old and now CC is wearing it!
Anna Scott at two weeks old in the same gown
Sweet head and sandy blonde hair (Still not sure where that hair color came from)
Pretty big eyes! Loves that paci!
Loved having Grandaddy and Granmomma back for a visit! Side note: You will grow to appreciate and love your parents even more than you ever thought you could after you have a baby of your own. You realize all they sacrificed for you throughout the years and how much they love you. Thank you for all you have done for me and all you have already done for Caroline Cate. We love you!
My sweet girl oh how I love you.

Happy ONE Week!
Baby Girl turned one week old on Wednesday, March 11, her actual due date.
Most precious, rewarding, blissful, and happiest week of our lives.
Most precious, rewarding, blissful, and happiest week of our lives.
First Week
Caroline Cate had a very pleasant first week at home. At one week she eats every 3 hours and sleeps in between feedings. She cries very little, only when hungry or when she needs a diaper change. She loves to sleep in her little lamb rocker in the den with someone sleeping right beside her on the couch. She loves listening to light rain noises and the vibration on the rocker makes her very sleepy. We had to go out and buy extra premie gowns because her newborn gowns were just a tad big for her. Although, I have a feeling that she will be in them soon enough by the way she eats. We spend our days snuggling and giving lots of kisses. Here are some snap shots of her first week at home.
Sweetest feet
Her favorite place to be, laying on somebody's chest
Getting lots of lovin' from Lollie!
First bottle given by Daddy
We gave her a sponge bath and she was not very fond of it. Her little body turned so red and she let us know that she has a good set of lungs. Only good that came out of it was a nice long nap and a good smelling' baby!
The best week of our lives! We can't wait for many more!
First Check-Up
On Sunday, 3/8/15, we went out for our first outing! Nothing too exciting. We headed back to Baptist Hospital for a routine check-up. She will have her first doctors appointment with her pediatrican at two weeks old but this was just for a weight and juandice check. Everything went perfect and she had gained almost 3 oz in two days! We were so proud of her. She loves food, just like her Mommy and Daddy.
