John Collins Homecoming

What a precious day it was getting to take our John Collins home with us. Something about driving away from the hospital as a family of four made everything feel so "real" and my heart has never been so full.
Wearing the same gown that his big cousin William wore home from the hospital.
Real life. Bless her.
All tears are gone after getting to sit in Mommy's lap.
First time in his car seat.
Off we go!
First car ride.
Arriving as a family of four at our cozy two bedroom apartment for the first time. We are building a house in Homewood and currently living in an apartment in Mountain Brook. We hope to be in our new home by Christmas! We are making sweet memories with our new addition as well as enjoying the simplicity of apartment living while having two littles to tend to.
As they say, home is where the heart is!

Our Family Meets John Collins

When your family comes in and loves on your new baby you sit back and praise God for the richest of blessings.

Girls, girls, girls with two sweet baby boys :)
Big Cousin Anna Scott is quite smitten with her new baby. She was absolutely adorable when she met him. She brought him the teddy bear that Mary Catherine brought when she came to meet me in the hospital after I was born.  She also brought the same teddy bear when she came and met Caroline in the hospital when she was born.

Me and my sister with our babies. So glad our kids will grow up so close together!
So glad that my good friend Calene was in town and able to stop by and meet John Collins.
This big sister made sure that Mommy got up out of bed and walked the halls.  She loved roaming around and looking out the big window.
Nothing sweeter than a brand new baby swaddled and soundly sleeping. I could've stayed in this moment staring at him forever.
My boys.
John Collins, you are a dream. I never knew my heart could hold so much love.

Caroline meets John Collins

And my heart will never ever, in a million years, ever be the same.  My hear has never been more full than it was in this moment. We couldn't have asked for a sweeter reaction from our sweet girl. I'll let the photos of Caroline meeting John Collins for the first time speak for themselves.
Still Mommy's favorite girl.
