Lakehouse Treehouse

Daddy and Poppy are building the kids a treehouse at the lake! This is BIG time. They are working so hard and we hope to have it completed by this summer. Here are some pictures of the first couple days of work. The kids are SO excited and are already planning their adventures.
Going to a have a pretty sweet view from the Treehouse.

Christmas Tree Farm

New traditions! I love making new traditions with our little family and this is one I hope that we continue for years to come. On the way home from our Lake weekend we stopped at the most adorable Christmas tree farm and cut down our very own tree to put on the front porch. Such a fun day watching the kids run throughout the farm, ride the train, pet the farm animals, and eat kettle corn!

Sparks Arrives to Kick Off Christmas!

Sparks, our little elf on the shelf, arrives on December 1st kicking off the Christmas season!! He is so sweet to always bring gifts for the kids that usually include an ornament that reflects a special event or activity.

Lake in the Fall

The weekend after Thanksgiving we headed to the lake for some R&R.  We took a little detour to Montgomery on the way down to watch the big tennis star on the courts.
The lake in the Fall :) Lots of fun!

What's Up Doc?! Mary Alan's 6 mo Check Up

Happy HALF Birthday, Mary Alan Elizabeth!
You are sitting up, scooting around in your walker, scooting backwards on your tummy, smiling, laughing, eating baby food, and making us all fall in love with you more every single day! 30th% for weight and height.
You are more than what I hoped and prayed for. We cannot imagine our lives without you and I look at you everyday and cannot believe you are mine. You are a piece of heaven here on earth.

Happy Thanksgiving 2021

We spent Thanksgiving day with my family at the Laney's house. It was a wonderful day of delicious food and special family time. The day after thanksgiving we went to the Ceases' for more of the same. I love this season of reflection and giving thanks to God for all the blessings He has graciously given us. These three are at the top of my list.
This picture. It will always be one of my most dear possessions. The day after Thanksgiving our GG suffered from a heart attack. Thankfully the actual heart attack was relatively painless but the damage to her heart required her to have open heart surgery. More on this in an upcoming post, however the memories we have with her from Thanksgiving Day are so dear. Truly the best of the best.
