John Collins' Dedication Day

Janurary 22, 2017 was the most special day dedication our John Collins to the Lord with our family by our side. (We missed those who were unable to attend, especially my Granmom and Grandad who were unable to travel due to health issues). We are forever grateful to God for entrusting us with John Collins and we will spend the rest of our days guiding him towards our Lord and Savior.
I hosted lunch at our house after the service. I loved all having our families in our new home together.
Our church, Dawson Baptist Church, encourage us to choose a life verse for John Collins. Alan and I sat down one night and looked up several recommended verses until we felt we had found the one that we wanted to serve as our daily prayer for him.

Rejoice in the LORD always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The LORD is near. Do not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4-7

Happy SIX Months, John Collins!

Oh the sweetness. This baby boy has my HEART. John Collins, I simply love you. Your smile is contagious. Each morning when I go to get him up out of his crib he greets me with the sweetest smile and legs bucking up and down in excitement. He is the happiest little chunky baby and the best snuggler. He is rolling over, front to back and back to front, and working on sitting-up. He puts EVERYTHING in his mouth already. He has the sweetest, laid back disposition and may get approximately 1,000 kisses a day. Despite being a very happy baby, like most he does not like the doctor! His 6 month check-up went better than pictured and we got a good bill of health which we are beyond grateful for!
Doctor cleared us for baby food! And someone is loving it :)  First bite...green beans!
We gave John Collins a little 1/2 Birthday Party! The cupcake didn't disappoint.
And just for comparison, here is Caroline enjoying her 1/2 Birthday Cupcake ....
Sweeeeeetness!

Sweet Moments

Some photos that capture our daily life and memories I want to hold on to forever.
John Collins 5 months//Caroline 22 months
"C'mon Daddy. C'mon Mommy. Kitchen." Oh how many times a day she says that! Loved playing with her kitchen from Santa at our apartment!
Going to be a baby doll lover like her Mommy!
New Years Eve!!!!! That smile!
She loves to sing and put on a "show" for us!
Right where he wants to be, in Mommy's arms or really anyones arms. ha. I don't hate it.
John Collins was being very needy one morning and Caroline kept telling me she wanted "petzels." I kept telling her "just a minute, Mommy is helping baby brother" and apparently she took matters into her own hands. Little girl gets what little girl wants :) All I could do was smile.
Two peas in a pod.
Caroline LOVES putting on my tennis shoes and walking around. ALWAYS on the wrong feet. Never once has put them on correctly. Makes me laugh every. single. time. Note lovey, paci, and sippy cup in hand. Always.
Checking out her room for the first time on move-in day!
Loves to watch me get ready in the morning!
Exhausted during the move.
The BEST smuggler!
First night in our new home!!!! She still is sleeping in her crib but she has a big girl bed!
Making waffles in our new kitchen!

I took these photos of the kids right after we moved in. I wanted to remember their ages and sweet personalities when we moved into our new house. Can't wait to see them grow up in our home.

Happy January!
