A Year Ago Today - 4/14/2012

1 Corinthians 13
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
For we know in part and prophesy is part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.
When I was a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love.

I am so blessed and continuously amazed by God's gift of marriage.
Happy 1st Anniversary Alan Tyler Cease! Your'e the best thing that has ever happened to me and I love you with all my heart!

Hippity Hoppity 2013

Easter came and went way too fast as we did our "hopping" around to visit with our families.  We have been extremely blessed that Alan's schedule has allowed us to go home for every holiday since he began his residency.  I do believe that I prayed this into existence and I do thank God for making this transition away from home much sweeter allowing us to spend more time than expected with our families and friends!

Our first stop was at my sister and brother-in-law's new (beautiful) house to drop off Easter goodies to this sweet baby BIG girl!

Then we were off to enjoy a delicious dinner at the Ceases'.  Mrs. Cease never disappoints when it comes to anything involving food.  I never have a hard time cleaning my plate!

After our visit with them, we were off to Arab!  We had such a fun time dying and decorating Easter eggs with Anna Scott.

Then it was off to church for a wonderful Easter service!

And then we hurried back to Birmingham for the Easter buffet at Shoal Creek Country Club!

Hope you had a happy Easter celebrating the true meaning of this season- Jesus' resurrection. How thankful I am that He did that for me!

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the Dead" 1 Peter 1:3
