Easter 2019

What a special special day. Celebrating our RISEN Savior. It is my favorite holiday. The newness of Spring, the reason we are celebrating, the family time, and of course the beautiful heirlooms all make this day so beautiful. 

We started the morning off with surprises from the Easter bunny! He adds some fun too! 

All dressed up to worship with our church family. Made even more special by having my grandmother, aunt, uncle and cousin at church to celebrate with us! 

After church, we headed out to have lunch with Lollie, Poppi, Aunt Megs, Uncle Ed, Mr. Steve and Mrs. Jamelle at Greystone Country Club. Afterwards we had more goodies from the Easter bunny and a fun Easter egg hunt! Wonderful time!

And then we napped.....

Mountain Brook Easter Fun Festival and Dying Eggs

Fun was had by ALL!!! When we are with our cousins, we are in heaven no matter what. Loved this day and the memories made.

I went in to dying easter eggs this year with very low expectations. Given that I was working with a 3 and 4 year old, I figured it would go south quickly. Much to my surprise, everyone was on their best behavior and we had peaceful FUN which is rare these days ;) Caroline and John Collins loved dipping the eggs in the food coloring and watching them turn colors. They turned out so beautifully and I will always remember this night of fun with my babies.

Homewood Easter Egg Roll+Savages Cookie Decorating

We had a blast with sweet friends at the annual Homewood Easter Egg Roll!!!! 

John Collins enjoyed picking up 2-3 eggs at atimes amazingly holding them all int he palm of one hand :)
