Grand time at THE GRAND

We love attending the annual dermatology conference at The Grand in Fairhope and it is always such a good time. This year it fell on the weekend of my birthday so Mom and I got to enjoy the weekend together! I've blown out candles with her by my side for 36 years now and it is such a special tradition!

 

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2022

"School days, school days, dear old golden rule days...." 

I vividly remember waking up to my Dad singing this throughout the house on mine and my sister's first days of school. There was always magic in the air and such excitement about the year ahead! 

Our new home in Crestline was about a week away from being complete but we stopped by the neighborhood on the way to school and snapped a few pics. 

It was a very sweet, exciting morning sending the kiddos off for their first days of 2nd, K, and preschool!

Last Day of SUMMER and Baby's 1st Pair of Shoes

 We lived up the last day of summer break by heading a water park with the cousins! What a FUN day! 

Mary Alan had to have shoes to start school so we headed to Once Upon a Time and got the sweetest pair. She LOVES them!

 

 

All the kids MEET THE TEACHER!

 August means it is time to sharpen those pencils and get ready for school. Meeting the teacher day is SUCH an exciting day and boy did we hit the jackpot (again) with our teachers this year. Caroline will begin the 2nd grade at Crestline and has Mrs. Neely. John Collins will be in Kindergarten at Crestline and has Mrs. Noles and Mary Alan will be at Mountain Brook Baptist in the young toddlers class with Mrs. Angela.  While it is always sad for me to see them growing and entering into new big chapters of their lives there is also so much sweetness seeing them so happy and loving life! May my heart learn to truly cherish each and every day as they really are passing by oh so quickly.

And last but certainly not least, Mary Alan meets her teacher Mrs. Angela. All tears but I know she is going to love her in no time :)
