Happy SEVEN Months!

SEVEN months has brought the most entertainment yet! This momma is exhausted. But in the best way possible :) Little Caroline Cate is everywhere these days. She started army crawling right at six months old then about a week shy of her seven month birthday she decided to get up on all fours and go. And go. And go. She doesn't stop. Ever. And she tends to get into anything and everything that she's not supposed to (fireplace, legs of coffee table, computer chargers....etc). I can hardly take my eyes off of her for a second. All that to say we truly are having so much fun!! She keeps me laughing at her different noises and facial expressions. She loves to watch Emme and thinks that she is just the coolest thing.  She loves playing peek-a-boo, being tickled, bath time and strolling. She eats her fruits very well but still is not a huge fan of the veggies.  She sleeps 12 hours at night with two or three naps during the day.  We love our little blonde headed, blue eyed wild child!
One of her favorite things to do as of late is sit in grocery carts while I shop. She is such a people-watcher and will stare you down. Good thing she is cute and people don't seem to mind!
You may notice that all the items in my cart are baby toys. Since little miss has been so active and wearing me out lately I took it upon myself to go buy half of the toy section at walmart and babies-r-us. Now my den looks like disney world and she STILL goes straight for the fireplace and coffee table. Sigh. I'm just praying she holds off on walking for a little while longer but from the looks of it she will be up and going very soon.
On Wednesday Alan worked a short shift and we were able to have a little family fun time. Such a rarity these days but we are very thankful for all that he does for our family. We have seven months left of his horrific work schedule and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. So exciting! We went to the local famers market and picked out pumpkins as well as pretty fall flowers.  Caroline thought the all of the pumpkins were a jungle gym and about gave us a heart attach climbing on them.
And this is the best family selfie we got. Oh well, good enough for me!

Happy Fall, y'all!

Pumpkins and Patches

Caroline went to her first pumpkin patch with her cousins a few weeks ago. Although she was too little to participate in the activities she had a BALL walking around and "people watching." Her little legs were kicking the entire time and she kept letting out little cackles and gasps. Such a ham!
Had to stop at Cracker Barrel on the way for some yummy veggies!
The Great Pumpkin Patch!!!
I sure do love this sweet little girl and her excitement for all things fun!
Caroline was WAY too interested in the festive decor to look up at the camera.
Loving the hay ride to the pumpkin patch to pick out their pumpkins.
Anna Scott made sure Caroline picked out the perfect pumpkin.
After we picked our pumpkins and we had to show them off on the front porch!
Once we were "pumpkin patched out" we changed into our pjs and had a lazy play day :)
Thank you Granny for the quilts you made for our sweet babies to play on!

First Beach Trip 2015

We had a successful Stewart/Laney/Cease beach vacation with a four year old, six month old, and three month old!  It may have been a bit chaotic and extra "fun" since we passed around the stomach bug the entire week but we had a blast regardless. There were only two people out of twelve (my mom and Scott) that were not affected by the bug.  It was brutal but we all survived.  Little miss was not a huge fan of the sand and ocean, however I am thinking that she will probably grow to love it over time. She did seem to enjoy the pool! There's just not much better than time spent with family making memories to reflect on throughout the years. I will always remember our first beach trip with our babies and how sweet it was.
Caroline's first time to put her toes in the sand with her cousins!
Heading to dinner the first night.
Fun with Daddy in the pool
Lunch break!
Beach bummin'
The "twins" are bound to be best buds.
Strolling around after lunch at Baytown Wharf
Loving time spent with our big cousin! Anna Scott is Caroline's favorite person!
Always love our snuggles from THE BEST Granmommy!!
And of course we couldn't go to the beach without the traditional beach pics....babies only edition due to the sickness going around.
We had fun in the sun and we can't wait until next year!
