Caroline and Will's Dedication Day

This past Sunday, 8/30/15, we dedicated our sweet Caroline Catherine to the Lord.  It was an extra special day because my sister and brother-in-law had their son, Will dedicated as well.  Caroline wore the dress that big cousin Anna Scott wore on her Dedication Day four years ago. Even though Caroline cried screamed majority of the time we were standing in front of the congregation and spit up all down mommy's arm, it was a very special moment for our family :) Our loving and supportive families were present to share this day with us as well as vow to help raise our children to walk in His ways.  My prayer is not only that Caroline and Will grow up to be successful and well respected, but most importantly that they love the Lord with all their heart and live each day to honor and glorify Him.
After the babies were dedicated, my dad sang a song that he wrote for his grandchildren.  This isn't the first special occasion that he has written a song and sang it beautifully as he played it on the piano, but I do believe it is my favorite song that he has ever written.  The words are more beautiful than I could ever try to explain so I have attached the link to access the song if you wish to listen.  The song is titled "First Day Prayer" and it is very fitting for those of us that are raising children in this shattered world  full of sin. May this be your prayer  for your little ones as well.

Following the service we enjoyed a seated luncheon at my parent's house with our families.  It was extra special to have my dad's parents there to meet Caroline and Will as well as five generations of first born women on my mother's side. Wonderful memories made that we will treasure forever.

(Special thanks to Alisha Crossley Photography for capturing this day so beautifully. We are so grateful.)
